    Bill Arnold Started Bellwether Software Corp

    Young Bill Arnold leaves McCormick and Dodge Accounting Software (now ADP) to found Bellwether Software Corp, which provides Purchasing and Inventory Automation Software.

  • 1986

    Bill Introduces Bellwether PMS

    Bill introduces Bellwether Purchasing Management System (PMS to the market) to save time and money through purchasing - DOS

  • 1987

    PMS was changed to PMX

    Bill realizes PMS is not a good acronym to use - changes the name to PMX (Purchasing Manager Extra)

  • 1998

    Window's Version is Released

    Window's version is released to the market - AT&T, Comcast, Kraft Foods, State of Washington, and 100's more sign on with Bellwether.

  • 2006

    Bellwether Introduces EPMX

    Bellwether introduces EPMX cloud purchasing software to the market

  • 2013

    Our Last PMX Client

    Our last PMX DOS client - State of Washington converts to EPMX

    Bellwether introduces a supplier network to save our customers 10%+ on maintenance, repair, and operating supplies.

    Bellwether Retires PMX

    Bellwether PMX, the second oldest purchasing software product to reach the market is retired after 32 years. Customers have all migrated to BPM or EPMX. We are lobbying our customer the Smithsonian to put PMX on display.

  • 2019

    Bellwether BPM Free Introduced

    Bellwether introduces BPM Free to provide Free cloud purchasing and inventory software for 3 users for 1 year. Finally a free cloud purchasing and inventory product without transaction limitations.
