Task Descriptions
Pre-Implementation Call
We will bring together the Bellwether Software technical team and your implementation team (technical IS or IT department, key users, etc.) and discuss the technical environment (hardware, operating system, network, file storage, etc.), business requirements, implementation schedule, files to be imported, training, etc.
Initialize Software
Each instance of the ePMX Software must be initialized to include the proper modules, number of user licenses, etc. This is done for each and every client at no cost.
Software Delivery
We have two methods of delivery depending on your licensing:
- Traditional Model: In this you the client host the software by providing the recommended Hardware and Systems Software. Once your server is ready we connect to the server using sftp or ssh. The ePMX software and documentation (installation instructions, users' guide, etc.) is installed online. This delivery method is instantaneous once your software has been initialized. No additional cost is associated with electronic delivery.
- SaaS Model: In this software as a service model, you don't need to do anything; we provide the software, hardware and the systems software. We will give you a URL, and you login to ePMX using a web browser.
Installation
Remote Assistance
All remote assistance is provided by Bellwether Software technical support team members via phone/email from our headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. If necessary, we can launch a web -sharing software to allow our team to view exactly what your team is doing. Web-sharing Installation sessions are $50 per device connected in addition to the cost of the installation assistance.
Assist with Install (1 Hour at a cost of $160)
For ePMX, this is all the assistance you'll need. We'll walk you through the steps of installing the software on the hardware of your choice, setting up the correct folders & data files, along with the proper permissions on each to ensure a smoothly functioning ePMX system.
Assist with SQL DB setup (4 hours at a cost of $640)
For ePMX SQL users without an SQL DBA, we recommend you upgrade your installation assistance to include help with your SQL database setup. We can walk you through the process of installing SQL if necessary. But, more importantly, we will use all the technical tricks to getting a SQL database set up properly for ePMX - in addition to the standard ePMX installation.
Assist with MySQL DB setup (4 hours at a cost of $640)
For ePMX MySQL Enterprise users without a MySQL Enterprise DBA, we recommend you upgrade your installation assistance to include help with your MySQL Enterprise database setup. We can walk you through the process of installing MySQL Enterprise, if necessary. But, more importantly, we will use all the technical tricks to getting a MySQL Enterprise database setup properly for ePMX - in addition to the standard ePMX installation.
Assist with Linux, Apache, PHP, ZEND Optimizer setup (4 hours at a cost of $1000)
Apache, PHP and Zend Optimizer are required for ePMX installation. To set up these systems software, we can walk you through the process of installing the required software if necessary.
On-site Assistance/Effort (Rate of $1,220.00 per day)
For the vast majority of our customers, there is no need for us to be onsite for your installation. However, if you have no IT department and would prefer that we install our software on your hardware, we have technical team members available to do just that.
Assist with Install
For a basic install, we will take care of all the details. Please plan to make your key user and an IT person available to direct us to the proper hardware and provide any necessary passwords, etc. Please note that your server(s) must be up and running with an operating system installed and all networking completed and functional prior to our arrival onsite, or we will not be able to proceed with your install.
File Imports (details below)
There are several options available to you for file import & conversion. The most basic is for you to utilize the import utilities built into ePMX to import your data into ePMX. If you're not comfortable doing that on your own, we're here to help!
Remote assistance for imports
We can provide step-by-step help via the telephone, email, and (for an extra charge of $50 per connected device) Web-conferencing to walk you through the built in imports.
Conduct File Imports (Offsite)
If you'd like, you can simply send us your current files, and we will convert those to PMX ready files to ensure a perfect import on the first try. Once we send those back to you, we'll hand-hold you through the remaining steps to get your data loaded and useable.
Conduct File Imports (Onsite)
Available only to customers opting for on-site install assistance or on-site training. Please note that for this, you will need to provide us with a workstation/Server at your site that is ePMX-accessible, network connected and has the latest version of Microsoft Office loaded on it. We may elect to work on the file conversions as a team, with the team leader being the on-site technical team member, and one or more Bellwether team members from our corporate office assisting. This would ensure that your files are converted as quickly as possible with the highest quality standards.
Mid-Implementation Checkpoint
We may check in with you several times during your implementation schedule to see how you are progressing and to ensure that all your questions are answered. We ask that you call us anytime an issue arises so that we can help you meet your deadlines.
30 Day Post Go-Live Checkpoint
Once you've had ePMX in production for 30 days, we'll check in with you to see if any additional training is necessary or if any additional modules might needed.
